In the 2006 election we received 6 recorded phone calls from comedian Joe Piscopo. Plus several more from supposed New Jersey "celebrities."

The National Do Not Call list does not apply for political campaign calls nor true charitable organizations.

This site allows you to register your home telephone number (one per adult househould member) and will, ostensibly, reduce the number of poltical calls that you receive (especially those robo-calls). Check it out.
