Birthday girl

Holly is definitely a kid with a healthy ego. Something happens to her, she shares it with the world. At the Grist Mill yesterday, the "miller" and tour guide let our crown-wearing birthday girl be the line leader and his personal assistant. In addition to carrying the bucket of wheat, she got to pull the rope that stopped the waterwheel turning.

It was a pretty cool trip, and the first elementary school one I've ever attended. Of course, after the first photos when we arrived, I apparently forgot I had my camera. So this shot will have to suffice.

I did manage to pull the birthday cake together, although next time I'd use blue icing for the ocean. The Jell-o jiggler ocean kept pulling back from the beach. I guess you can't stop the tides!
